Escape from Tomorrow
Farrow (a superb peformance from ROYAL DANO), showing appropriate distain, turns his back on the lies about the astronauts being circulated by Prefect Veska, and purposefully retraces the path to his “Cave,” carrying a change of wardrobe for the imperilled 20th Century humans under his arm. We never learn where the clothing came from. Was it his own? Did it belong to a member of his family? Or friends? The only clue we have to its origin is his unhurried demeanour—which suggests the attire was something he was entitled to have in his possession, and wasn’t something he had appropriated without permission from someone’s washing line. This scene is noteworthy for one other reason: in it, Farrow is wearing a vest of his own—something that is absent from every moment prior to this, and all those that follow…
