“Tomorrow’s Tide” is the first story (other than the pilot) which opens with the fugitives in possession of nothing more than the clothes they are standing up in. Given that the preceeding tale in production order, “The Liberator”, concluded with our heroes in a benign environment in which their belongings could have been restored to them, the absence of the backpacks at the start of this tale is less explicable than their presence has been on other occasions.
