After his chat with the caged astronauts, Galen is granted an audience with Brun, the leader of Borak. Although, at this time, the renegade chimpanzee has yet to be allocated sleeping quarters, his backpack is conscpicuous by its absence. Perhaps its resting on the floor, or a chair, somewhere out of shot
One other point of interest: we never see Galen and Brun together during this scene. The entire conversation is constructed from a series of individual close-ups and medium shots of the two participants. The suggestion that the chimpanzee and the human are together is achieved via the presence of a shadow falling across the back of Bruns chair when we see him speakingbut it clearly isnt the silhouette of Galens head that is present on those occasions. |
