Galen (portrayed in long shot by Dave Rogers, Roddy McDowall’s stand in) confers with his fellow fugitives, and gives an account of the mysterious ceremony he has just witnessed. Virdon and Burke, however, are less concerned about the death of Clim than they are about leaving Borak as “undamaged” free men. This is the first we see of the two astronauts after their abduction, and we find them in accomodations which are not only more Spartan than usual, but which are also noticably uncluttered by backpacks. Presumably, Virdon and Burke’s luggage was taken from them by their captors and is being stored elsewhere.
